NASTY/CREATIVE is a woman-led creative agency that focuses on marketing, PR, and design for businesses and brands of all sizes.

Our mission is to use our extensive experience and creative skill to elevate brands, especially brands that are women, POC, or LGBTQ-led. We believe everyone is a little nasty, and a little creative—and we want to help the brands and people we work with tap into that space. We believe that where “nasty” and “creative” converge is where the toughest questions get answered, and the opportunity for change is at its strongest. We aren’t just creatives, we are visionaries who want to shift the way people interact with brands.

Our history

Founded in 2019, NASTY/CREATIVE is the brainchild of Pegah Yazd, Julia Joyce-Barry, and Rula Al-Nasrawi — three creatives from three different worlds. With previous experience working with Google, Hearst Digital, Samsung, and the Classic Stage Company, our team brings all the strengths of their diverse and flourishing cultural backgrounds to the table.

Prior to founding NASTY/CREATIVE, our three founders first worked together to establish the Nasty Woman Project, a New York-based organization focused on fundraising for charitable causes and social justice work. NWP has raised thousands of dollars for Planned Parenthood, The Anti-Violence Project, and many others, through fundraising parties, anti-racism workshops and more.
